Myself and my wife are renting an apartment and have our electricity with Bord Gais. Has anyone ever gotten a huge bill out of nowhere like this? The last meter reading we submitted was January 5th in the middle of winter when we used electric heat pads every day and we still didn't get charged as much.

ESB took a reading on 15th May and now our bill is over 4x the price. We haven't been using the heat pads for the past few months so we should be using way less electricity. I've taken some meter readings in the past few days:

15/05 - 44706

19/05 - 44745

20/05 - 44751

21/05 - 44757

We're only using roughly 8.5kw per day in the last few days but our last bill suggests we've been using 16kw per day on average.

Any help or advice?
