For one of my finals, I'm directing a play on paper and my play is FOB or Fresh Off the Boat by Henry David Hwang.

One part I have to do is make a set design. If my (fictional)?theatre had the budget, the play would be expanded and set on a giant rotating stage where we have huge set designs and realistically painted backgrounds, but unfortunately this is budget theatre.

So, theatre in the round or a proscenium (picture frame theatre)?

I'm thinking proscenium, but I also want my actors to be able to move things around a lot, so I must ask, which is better for this?
