Playing after the update on v40.40

My friend playing on PC with controler got stuck with the kinetic Blade. Couldn't change item slots, interact with anything etc. Tried to eliminate himself to fix the bug but even on 1hp you can't eliminate yourself to a fatal fall. He wasn't sure how but the bug fixed itself and he dropped the blade.

The next match I had the kinetic blade, I play on Xbox series X and the bug happened to me. When using alt fire to launch youself off the ground or after a jump I would hit the ground during the short animated pause before the movement took affect, it wouldn't launch me and would then be stuck only using the kinetic blade. I found I could get out of the bug by jumping off a ledge and using the alt fire and launching before I hit the ground.

The bug was most consistently occurring if I was running up a mountain and tried to use the alt fire on the blade. While affected by the bug, I hit a launch pad and couldn't deploy the glider and then took fall damage leaving me on 1hp and then immediately died to storm. Unfortunately, I didn't save a clip.

I was playing on my XBOX Series X. The game started to play up during a fight and couldn't do anything except dash backwards. I was able to bring up the map so I I quickly teleported back to the monastery so I wouldn't die, but the game crashed completely while teleporting. I tried to reconnect to my world but got stuck in a connecting screen loop. I restarted Fortnite and then loaded into my world. It game spawned me into my village instead of the monastery. Didn't think to much of it and went straight back to farming the portals and dragons. A named fire dragon spawned while I was farming a portal and one shot me which shouldn't be possible. Game over, lost my world. I saved a clip of my death and found my legendary totem of return was missing. In hindsight it was the game crashing that had caused me to loose my totem of return. I never relised as I hadn't died. Im mostly bummed out because I just got the mythic fire blade earlier today. Now I won't be able to get a new world up to level for the upcoming limited time events 😔
