I need some advice/help

15 years ago I was in a crash where I broke a few ribs. Since then I've had back pain which has gradually got worse over the years. I'm now 46.

I suffer from back pain nearly all day every day. Sitting hurts, standing hurts, driving hurts, doing the dishes hurts. The pain is mainly the lower back on the right side which goes into my hip and thigh. When I do the dishes the pain gets worse and travels up the sides and into the middle. Staying in bed too long hurts like hell. Bought a new mattress to help but I can only manage four hours in my bed.

I've tried everything. I've lost weight, tried pilates, pain management (been on co codamol for years), been to a chiropractor and had x rays and scans. Nothing has been found except a bulging disc which the doctor says is normal for my age. That was three years ago. I'm now 46.

I'm on 15mg co codamol, was on 30 (which did help) but doctor wanted me to decrease. They help but I go through them like sweets because of the lack of strength.

I fell down some stairs the other day and the pain I get in my back is now in my neck. Got heat patches, hot water bottle.... but in a lot of pain.

One other doctor wasn't convinced there was anything wrong with me years ago. Anyone who has seen me thinks it's muscular. This is affecting so many aspects of my life.

I feel like I'm at my wits end. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas?

Sorry if this post went all over the place.

Thanks
