Advice on Lures/ Some helpful tools to carry around

Hi guys! I just picked up fishing for the first time since I was in middle school (I had no idea what I was doing). I want to ask a few questions about lures. I used ChatGPT to help me find what lures would be best for freshwater fishing in my area. What are some lures you folks use and how do you use them? I honestly have little idea on what part of the water each lure should be at and the reeling speed.

So far, I have purchased the following but have no idea how to use them:

Senko worms- had some luck (a small bass probably 6-8 inches) using the sweeping method

Spoon 1/8 oz silver- How should this be used? Is it a top water/middle water lure? What reel speed does this work best with?

Rooster tail- Honestly no idea on how this is used, just assumed this and the spoon are used similarly.

SO to close out this post I want to ask. Is there any lures you guys recommend and how do you use them? Are the lures I bought worth learning to use or am I better off using different lures? What techniques work best for you guys?

Also, last thing- When I caught the bass the hook went pretty far in its mouth, thank God someone nearby had a dehooker. This leads me to my last question, are there any tools you guys recommend carrying around other than a dehooker?
