Is there a form or pattern : ect I can use to make a cover for this chair seat and wrapped arms ?
Hey yall, 1st post here, not an upholstery worker but I do carpentry work and antique restoration. This is a chair I bought from an estate sale years ago , from one of the A. J. DuPont families FL estates. I have already ruined it for value I know (original pin and tuck silk was chalk dyed from champagne/ light floral to black). Then it was stored at my mother’s house and her dogs absolutely tore up the arms / seat cushion. I would like to make a cover / arm wrap that looks fitting but protects the remaining fabric. The entire back wrap is pristine and so I don’t want to rip everything off and start fresh . If it’s too much crazy work I’ll just leave a throw on it , but I really do love this chair. Any feedback / suggestions are appreciated, thank you.
