Upper Body: How Many Days Per Week?
I started a very light cardio routine after suffering a mini stroke / TIA in January. I walk speed of 3 and incline of 3 for 5 miles Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays.
I was 288lbs when this all happened and I’m down to 230lbs with this walking and dietary changes.
id like to start adding an upper body aspect to this now that I’m cleared blood work wise. how many days a week can u do an upper body routine?
I’d like to start doing (with the free weights):
Chest Press
Shoulder shrugs
Hammer Curls
Tricep Extension
Would twice a week be permissible or is that too much? Maybe even too seldom?
I saw someone say to start with the machines but there’s always lines and I’m noticing a huge difference in the physiques of those who use the machines versus the weights Since I’m there for almost two hours on my treadmill I’ve become a people watcher (and wanna look like the guys doing the free weights lol)
