What’s a good tripod in the $200-$300 range?

I’m looking for a new tripod. I’d like it to be feasible to travel with, but also study enough to stay out on uneven terrain for multiple hours during star trails and not move. I’d like to prioritize steadiness over how light weight it is. I’ve been looking at the smallrig x potato jet tribex as well as some others like meFOTO used, but I don’t have a solid reference. While I’d love to go for peak design that’s a bit out of my price range, unless you all the their aluminum travel tripod is really worth the extra $100. So what do you guys recommend?

Edit* My main camera is the Fujifilm X-E5, and my heaviest lens is the Fujifilm 55-200. I will probably be hiking with whatever tripod I do get, but if it saves me hundreds I’ll suffer through a few extra pounds.

Should I focus more on having an adjustable CPL/ND filter, or lens hood?

To start off, I love the K&F dual adjustable lens filters. It makes taking long exposures way easier and they’re great for killing some reflection, which I love when I shoot cars. The problem is, when you use one of those adjustable lens filters, the nobs prevent you from attaching the lens hood. When I’m shooting cars or other reflective things without a lens hood I can tend to get some green flashes and reflection in my photos, especially at night meets, etc. My main problem is that I love taking photos of basically everything: landscape, street, fine art, cars, portraits. I really don’t have a niche, so a one size fits all approach probably won’t work perfectly no matter what. So I guess my main question is, is it better to default to a dual CPL and ND filter, or a lens hood with a non-adjustable filter of some type under the hood? Sorry for the very basic and vague question but I’m trying to save some money kitting out the new 23mm and 18-135mm I got for my X-E5, if it can be helped.
