I tried my hands at making a male character again. This time I wanted a hunter that's a bit older, but brags about how handsome he was in his youth. All those expeditions left traces and he didn't worry about wrinkles and rough skin until much later.
I still have a lot of fun coming up with characters. I tried to keep her looks more grown-up than cute. Someone who knows what she wants and how to get it. Who will hunt a monster as many times as needed, until she got that armor set and weapon she was eyeing.
I wanted to get better at making male characters with the Wilds editor. Most of the time I end up making a female character, so I sat down with the intention of creating an older hunter who's been with the guild for a long while.
I'm still practicing with the Wilds character editor to make whatever hunter or huntress I want for Ascendance. There's still no specific person or character I tried to remake. I wanted a serious, no nonsense vibe for this huntress.
I continued playing around with the Sororal armor and ended up with the Guardian Ebony Odogaron pieces. And I quite like the Rey Dau pants with it. Very happy with the look.
I tried to keep the colors matching with the undyeables, but there should be other color combinations that should work just as well. It's been fun to keep working with the Sororal chest and waist.
The Gajau boots worked better than expected with the Sororal coat. But getting that shade of light yellow-ish brown right was a struggle. I'm satisfied with the look, though.
My outfit for Flamefete in 3 variations. The blue and yellow one fits in nicely with the colorful hub (my favorite). If I want a cool look I can wear the black and red version. And in case I'm feeling like something cute I'll change into the pink one.
It's been quite a while that I posted the knightly set with different waist options and colors and since I made a new colorway, I thought an update would be fitting. The new combination with the Kut-Ku waist looks quite nice. And I finally decided on a name for the outfit, too.
I gave the Dreamwalker legs another go and tried to pair it with the Blessed Waistchain. If the middle part of the skirt stays white, the clipping of the ruffles of the legs won't be as noticeable. The pink felt the most fitting for the look, though I may try other colors later.
I made another set with the female Dreamwalker legs. They're so cute, but the undyeable colors make it a challenge to work with them. I noticed that the Guildknight waist doesn't clip with the ruffles of the leg armor so I tried to make a look with it. A bit like a student at a magical academy.
A while ago I saw an outfit in sage green that used the Guildcross chest and Sororal boots. I took that as inspiration, colored it red and black and added the Meloha hat, leather arms and the blessed waistchain.
Another set with Congalala and Chatacabra armor. I really like how the lines of the chest and leg pieces match in this one.
I was experimenting with the combination of Congalala chest with Xu Wu legs after I saw it on a fashion post on Twitter. I went with Chatacabra pieces and tried to match colors while balancing it all out with brown.
My attempt with the Rathian waist. I'm struggling with this piece a bit, like where it sits on my huntress or how it behaves with other armor pieces or how it looks from the back. But it looks good in pictures. Maybe I'll try to make more outfits with it. I love this hue of pink with the green, might be worth a shot with other outfits.
I wanted to try my hand on an outfit with the Dreamwalker legs again and thought that the Lala waist would be fitting. And that shade of blue with a touch of violet turned out better than I expected.
Just a fun little idea I had while checking out what the NPC hunters in the different locales wear. I quite like the silhouette and the colors on this. It blends in quite well with the other hunters I'd say.
Based on my previous Lagi Girl and Rey Dau Girl, I thought giving a Gog Girl a try. I settled on yellow as second color and used short hair. And I like that little splash of brightness quite a bit. Red or purple just didn't feel right.
I felt tempted to use the Bale chest with the Mizutsune pants and tried to go fron there. And with the waist piece came the undyeable pink. What gave me a bit of a headache was which hairstyle to go with.
Since the pictures didn't work the first time, I'll upload the post again. I played around with colors for my new outfit on the weekend and decided to only keep 2 or 3 of them since my loadout slots are always full. I'm pretty sure about keeping the pale blue, maybe the peach pink from the 3rd picture. Black/ red and black/ purple are nice, too. What would be your pick?
