I found this moth under some avocados about 5 hours ago, they were moving and flapping their wings, I also have seen its tongue thing moving. They only have 2 legs and is barely moving now even when I touch them. I was wondering if it is going to survive if I try to get it some sugar water and a safe space or if I should just try to humanely kill it? As well I would like some ways to humanely kill it without damaging its body so that I can attempt to preserve it.

Found in Price, Utah, might have come from a box of avocados from the Salt Lake area, but actual location is unknown.
