I test 11kV switchgear in a manufacturing plant in the UK and starting a new job as an Application Design Engineer in a month within the same company and for the same product that I test.

I have a very basic understanding, but I don't have a degree, only a BTEC 3 which I referred mainly to John Bird's Electrical Principles. I want to further my education on the subject, rather than purely rely on internal training.

Please recommend some books, price doesn't matter if it reflects the quality.

Although we are based in the UK, we also manufacture for global customers, so a broad overview is useful too.
