Forza 6 on Bazzit os nvideo rtx 3070 And I5
**How to run Forza Horizon 6 on Bazzite (Nvidia RTX 3070 Ti) using Proton CachyOS**
If you are experiencing crashes and stuttering in Forza Horizon 6 with an Nvidia card on Linux, here is a quick and straightforward guide to fix it:
Open the **ProtonPlus** app in Bazzite's Desktop Mode.
Go to the **CachyOS** tab and download the latest version of Proton CachyOS.
Restart Steam so it refreshes its compatibility tools list.
Right-click Forza Horizon 6, go to **Properties > Compatibility**, check the box, and select **Proton CachyOS**.
In the **General** tab, scroll down to **Launch Options** and paste this exact line:
PROTON\_VKD3D\_HEAP=1 VKD3D\_CONFIG=enable\_experimental\_features,descriptor\_heap %command%
**What does this launch option do?**
It forces the DirectX 12 translator to use Nvidia's modern, experimental memory management (descriptor\_heap). This fixes random crashes and completely eliminates the chronic stutters while driving around the map, without reducing the game's visual quality at all.
**Extra Tip:** If your game keeps closing unexpectedly after the intro, completely disable Ray Tracing in the game's video settings, as it is still highly unstable on Nvidia Linux drivers.
