What is your advice on switching rapidly - AI engineer role ?
1.8 YOE - Al developer. Graduated in 2024 and joined a big MNC through campus placement worked for 1.2 years. Later got a offer in a small size family owned company in which I have worked as Al engineer for 6 months and completed my notice period last friday. This company is very toxic and extended my notice period to 3 months even though my official notice period in 6 month-probation is 1 month. Somehow I have served the notice period there for 3 months and joined to my current org (within a average team and complete wfo) this monday (i.e 18 may)
And my friend gave me a referral in his team for same role which a full remote mid size company with good pay and amazing scope for growth. So I have got the interview invite today and the chances are favourable to get selected. But my current org linked my PF today evening (i.e. five days after joining). And if i talk through my current company they can leave me within a month as i don't have any work allocated.
Now that i am willing to join my friends company I am worried that my profile can look bad for future recruitments as the background verification can flag that i am unstable and can lead to resignations or less opportunities as advised by my close friend who is a HR.
Please help me with this folks based out of experience, will my future get effected or any chance that my background gets a black mark if i want to target big techs?
