M23 worried about that it is cancer and not gastritis
Hi,
I had nausea, burning sensation in the top right side of my upper abdomen, bloating, flutuence and loose/watery stools or constipation. Nausea and burning sensation started after a period of high stress and skipping meals but watery/loose stools I had for 3-4 years.
I had a endoscopy and colonoscopy done recently which found mild gastritis in my stomach but clear colon. Negative for h.pylori but I was on PPIs when the endoscopy was done.. I also had an ultrasound done which came back clean. It is my first time encountering gastritis symptoms and I had not taken painkillers or alcohol.
I was given PPIs for 2 weeks and to take them twice everyday. I am now out of PPIs and I am feeling the nausea and slight discomfort one day after stopping PPIs but the burning in the upper abdomen seems to have subsided. Update: the burning has returned with a biting pain as well? Same spot upper abdomen below ribs
I am worried this is a sign it could be small intestine cancer or some other form of cancer or is it part of healing? How long does gastritis take to heal?
