Looking for advice to grow my ASCE YouTube channel
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for honest advice on how to grow the ASCE MÉXICO YouTube channel.
We’ve been uploading both long-form videos and Shorts, but we’re not seeing the growth in subscribers or engagement that we expected. I’ve also noticed that when we post 3 or more Shorts per day, the interaction sometimes seems to go down instead of improving.
I’m not sure if we’re posting too much, if the content strategy needs to be adjusted, or if we’re not connecting with the right audience yet.
For those with experience growing a YouTube channel, I’d really appreciate your advice:
What has worked best for increasing subscribers?
Is it better to post fewer Shorts but make them more polished?
How do you balance long-form videos and Shorts without hurting the overall performance of the channel?
Which metrics should we focus on to understand whether the issue is the content, posting frequency, titles, thumbnails, retention, or audience targeting?
The channel focuses on civil engineering, ASCE activities, student chapters, professional events, interviews, and educational content related to the industry in Mexico.
