Day trip to Aegina

Went to Aegina in May and was unprepared for how windy and cold it was going to be. People were walking around in puffer jackets. It warmed up later in the afternoon but I wish I had packed more warm clothes. The beach next to the port is only good for a quick dip. There is a beach a bit further down near the ruins but we didn’t walk far enough to make that worthwhile. Next time I would cab to a better beach. Pistachios were great. Pistachio ice cream was better at kook cafe in my opinion although my husband preferred Aegina ice cream. We ate at Maistrali Restaurant and they even had a kids menu. Decent food for decent prices. Very friendly waitstaff. Getting back on the ferry was tough with everyone rushing to get on and sit inside (slow ferry). Travelled with my four year old and managed well without a stroller. There was a nice park near the port. Happy to answer any questions.
