Just out of curiosity, I was listening to Supertramp on a streaming service when a solo album by founder Roger Hodgson came on next, and I was floored. He released the solo album Hai Hai in 1987—featuring the song "London"—three years before the first Monkey Island game came out.

Well, putting the flute melody aside, the song's backing track is literally the foundation of the game's theme. I’ve searched and haven't seen a single person mention this. It’s not exactly a case of plagiarism, but I’d really love to know if that song served as the inspiration for that legendary theme.
