Has anyone here passed the Louisiana Bar? I would love to hear from you!

I’m a Louisiana native, barred in and live in a UBE jurisdiction.  I have decided to take the July 2026 exam for Louisiana.  On second thought, I would love to hear from everyone and their experience whether you passed or not.

I noticed the bar exam sub doesn’t have a ton of activity for the Louisiana Bar.  I hope we will be able to garner enough discussion here that can be helpful to current and future exam takers, so I would really appreciate any thoughts or feedback. I definitely see a few posts here that are quite helpful so thank you to those of you who shared in the past.

What is the best way to prepare? From what I’ve been told, Barbri still has a monopoly.  With that being said, does Barbri adequately prepare you for the multiple choice questions? Have the past exam multiple choice questions been released? (I know they’re a small part of the exam but I’m very curious about this for some reason).

Are there any critical study strategies?  Where is the best place to buy or locate bar prep materials second hand? Does anyone have bar exam books they would like to sale or share?

Any advice that is often overlooked or not discussed enough?

I hope to hear back!

Thank You for Helping Me Decide! AND I Got My Pocketbook Era On Sale!

Thank you to everyone who contributes to this sub. The information here has been incredibly helpful. I was able to determine what e-reader would be best for me. I don't want to be locked into a closed ecosystem, that rules out anything amazon and for my purposes kobo. I went with a pocketbook era color. They were on sale for mothers day on amazon, so I finally decided to buy after eyeing it for a few months. I didn't see anyone mention this so I thought I would share.

Delivery has been delayed until this coming week (original delivery date was supposed to be yesterday). So I will have to be patient for now! I will update with my feedback.
