Little Frenchie time

Every WWI collection should have some wheel guns in it, including this classic with its swing out cylinder "which swings out to the wrong side". Brought it back from the dead with some major effort. Here you have few "before & after" pics. It'll never be new again, but it looks much better than it was.

(Almost) Kar-88

After some extensive work, I brought this one back to some resemblance of decency. It was bubbad, the receiver probably sanded, forend cracked in few spots, barrel bands sanded to the white, dings in the stock filled in with woodworking putty, deep pitting on the barrel jacket underneath the wood line was partially filled in with some kind of gray paint or epoxy (without removing rust from the pits first). It had few random/incorrect screws that needed replacing, so I did. The bedding was starting to let go - fixed that, also (you can see the masking walnut dovel behind the crossbolt). Reblued these barrel bands.

It's still a mixmaster. It never be new again, it has incorrect mag (regular Gew. 88 mag, not carbine one) and almost every piece is mismatched, but it looks better now, like a military gun that has seen some use.
