FB 2x-3x weekly?
I box regularly, and takes up a majority of my available time throughout the week (4-5 days a week). Yet, i still want to make time for some gains as before boxing I had worked out for 2 years straight and would use a variation of a PPL split, with 5 days training weekly.
Looking into different splits, the one that stood out to me the most is a full body split which is would be perfect due to my circumstances, yet i am confused on how to actually implement it, so I looked up some exercises that round it around my usual split, i would appreciate your critiques and thoughts
DAY 1
Bench press — chest (mid)
Row — back
Hack squat — quads
Military press — shoulders (front)
Triceps pushdown — triceps
Preacher curls — biceps
DAY 2
Incline bench — chest (upper)
Lat pulldown — back (lats)
Hamstring curl machine — hamstrings
Lateral raises — shoulders (side)
Triceps (light) — triceps
Hammer curls — biceps
DAY 3
Dips — chest (lower) + triceps
Row variation — back (mid/upper)
Lunges / light hack squat — quads + glutes
Rear delt flys — shoulders (rear)
Triceps pushdown — triceps
Preacher — biceps
(All till failure)
Here’s what I’m not sure about, how am i stimulating the whole muscle if i don’t individually isolate their parts and hit till failure?
Let’s take chest for example, my routine for chest consisted of Incline bench, peck flys, and dips. How does getting this in a span of 3 days differ from hitting it all in one day? And how would this split work with 2x a week? I’m not sure if I am explaining it right, but any help is appreciated!
