What’s one thing you wish you’d outsourced sooner?

One thing I’ve noticed from working with businesses is that many founders wait far too long to let go of certain tasks.

I completely understand why. No one knows your business like you do, and in the beginning, you’re wearing every hat imaginable.

But there comes a point where spending three hours on admin, emails, scheduling, or chasing people around for updates costs more than it saves.

I’ve seen business owners spend weeks trying to do everything themselves while the work that actually grows the business keeps getting pushed back.

I’m curious…

Looking back, what’s one task you wish you’d outsourced or created a system for much earlier?
Or if you’re not there yet, what’s the one task you secretly dread doing every week?

How did you consistently generate leads when you were starting out?

Hi everyone,
I’m hoping to get some advice from people who’ve actually built a business from scratch.

I’m currently trying to grow a business offering business operations and administrative support to small businesses, but my biggest challenge is generating leads.

I’ve tried things like cold outreach, Upwork, LinkedIn, and applying for opportunities, but I’m finding it difficult to gain traction.
I’d love to know:

Where did most of your first clients come from?

What lead generation strategy actually worked for you?

If you were starting again today with no audience and no social media, what would you focus on?
Was there anything you tried that turned out to be a complete waste of time?

I’m not looking for a magic shortcut—I know building a business takes time. I just want to learn from people who’ve already been through this and understand what was genuinely worth their time in the early stages.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

How did you get your first 10 clients?

I’m really curious to hear real stories from small business owners.
When you were just starting out, how did you actually get your first 10 paying clients?
Was it referrals, networking, cold outreach, SEO, paid ads, marketplaces, word of mouth, or something else?
If you were starting your business again today with no audience, no social media, and no existing client base, what would you focus on first?
I’m trying to learn from people who’ve actually been through it rather than just reading generic advice online, so I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences.
