Is 160k miles too many
I'm considering buying a hybrid but it has 160,000 miles on it. The previous owner, who's a friend, says he had no issues with it and the only time there was a problem is if he left it undriven for a month then the battery needed to be jump started. It was his mom's car. How long do those cars last? He's asking $4,000. How expensive would it be to replace the hybrid battery? And the other issues that tend to pop up with a car of that age?
