The job market is tough

So.....I have decided to become a freelancer after 12+ years of administrative assistant, customer service and now I'm a private PA/EA, self employed.
I've been helping 7 professionals so far and noticed that their CVs needed change, or that their communication skills needed an update!
Also..every time you see a job that you like, you have to use key words that matches with the job description that is advertised and that you are applying for. It is all very time consuming and a lot of attention to details comes in place.
Can anyone recommend what you personally do when you are looking for jobs? Do you change your CV every single time? Do you always have a covering letter ready for each job you apply for?
I just need couple of viewpoints/opinions as I'm coaching professionals lately and help them with job search/CV help/LinkedIn profile and specifically in the US/UK....to understand how they "job search", where they apply to and where the difficulty starts?

Looking for advice: How do freelance Executive Assistants actually find clients?

I recently started my own business providing freelance Executive Assistant and Personal Assistant services to founders, CEOs and executives.
What makes my business a little different is that I’m not a Virtual Assistant. I provide high-level EA/PA support as an independent freelancer, and I work in **English, French and German**.
So far I’ve:
\-Built my website.
\-Created an Instagram account (I haven’t started posting yet).
\-Started a LinkedIn company page (currently 22 followers).
\-Written and shared two blog posts on LinkedIn.
\-Added a Career Coaching service for professionals who want to become or transition into PA/EA roles.
Interestingly, the career coaching side has generated more interest than my EA/PA services.

Where I’m struggling is finding business owners who actually need a freelance Executive Assistant.
So far I’ve tried:
\-LinkedIn outreach.
\-PeoplePerHour.
\-Cold emailing businesses
\-indeed

Unfortunately, I haven’t had any success yet. I suspect my emails may be ending up in spam, or perhaps I’m targeting the wrong people.

For those of you who freelance or run service-based businesses:
\- **Where do you actually find founders, CEOs or business owners looking for EA support?**
\- **Are there platforms or communities that work better than LinkedIn or freelance marketplaces?**
\- **Would you focus on a niche or industry first?**
**How long did it take before you landed your first consistent clients?**

I’m based in the UK but I’m happy to work different time zones like the US, so it isn’t really a limitation.

**Also, if anyone here has ever hired a freelance Executive Assistant, I’d love to know what made you choose them over someone else.**

At the moment, I feel like I’m doing “all the right things” but not getting in front of the right people. Maybe I just need to be more patient, but I’d really appreciate hearing from people who’ve been through this stage.

Thanks in advance!
