I’m not a sports coat guy. I’m a field/wildlife biologist that camps 4-6 months of the year in remote places, chasing critters.
That said, my wife’s new position at work has her dealing with very high rollers in cocktail party settings and I’m expected to come along on these now…

I’m a big guy, 6’2”, 230lbs. 47.5” measured chest with big shoulders and 36” waist. Flat’ish belly.

Can y’all recommend a brand of sports coat that will fit me well, look good with a nice pair of jeans and boots?

Her donors/clients tend to be on the Left and very artsy side of things, fwiw. For instance we are attending a Santa Fe, NM event this fall with some well known authors, painters and their patrons.
Figured this might influence your look recommendations…

Edit: Most off the rack coats I try on that fit my chest and shoulders are way too loose below. I don’t want something Pete Hegseth tight, but also don’t want to look like a baggy old man.

Seems that there is a pretty good stink on the Babylon fire about some Monticello locals being super racist to some firefighters… The Mayor, Sheriff and other officials have delicately addressed the issue.
