I need help immediately with my fish!!
I got home from work this morning and my betta was acting odd. I took a closer look and the side of his face is all red and flaky and he’s acting limp and keeps standing on his tail. He’s also gotten pale. I noticed the sheen on him (pic 2) that wasn’t there before and I’m worried he might have velvet… I’ve isolated him in a small carrier container with one of the plants from the aquarium, and given him a little antibiotics. As far as parameters go my ph is a little low, but aside from that completely fine, and I’m really worried he’s gonna die on me. He wasn’t like this yesterday and he was swimming just fine! All the other fish are fine, a handful of Corys, some tetras, and some guppies in a 40g. I can’t see any pine coning, and none of the other fish look sick. Please can somebody tell me what to do, I need help! I don’t want him to die!
