Was clearing out my garden and found a compost bin behind a shed in my garden. It has compost inside but will have been untouched for at least 10 years. Can I still use it?

Just about to get the keys to an allotment. Are there any resources/tips that you would recommend. I'm obviously doing some online research and reading but always looking for more pointed recommendations.
