Busch NA

Review:

The Busch NA tasted like beer. I got hints of beer on the nose, and on the palate, beer. The finish tasted of beer. Overall it was a very beer beer, and would’ve been improved only if the weather was hotter.

Purchased & drank in Duluth, MN. I’m sure available absolutely everywhere.

Seriously tho. This doesn’t have any right to taste this perfectly, acceptably like cheap light beer. I stood in front of the cooler at the store & read reviews, waffled… I have literally never bought Busch of any kind before lol.

I nearly pulled the trigger on Coors Edge instead bc I like Coors & hate Busch, probably will try it sometime. Balked at the cost of Athletic (this was 2x the beer for same cost). I drank 2/3 of the case while listening to live folk, rock & Americana music & watching fireworks 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I actually tried the Athletic Lite Lime & Salt today, I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was more like lime seltzer with the idea of beer in the background than beer flavored with lime tbh. Refreshing in a sort of way but honestly didn’t taste much like beer. I’ll have to try some of their other flavors.

Cheers 🍻

Lapo’s Negroni

Have been taking a break from alcohol and struggling bc I miss cocktails. Especially old fashioneds & Negronis. Haven’t missed beer very much tbh.

As I’ve mentioned in a couple of comments on other threads, I tried Little Saints canned sampler (purchased w/a bottle of St. Oak, disliked), and did not like them with varying degrees of dislike. Their canned Paloma & Ginger mule were OK, old fashioned not good, and the Negroni spritz was AWFUL even when I tried to doctor it up — I’m tossing the last two cans of that. So I was bummed that was my first foray into NA products.

Just picked this up today (from Target!), chilled it, and now I’ve tried it…

FINALLY something that scratches the Negroni itch!!! This is quite bitter in the right way, sweet enough, and has notes in it which remind me of the gin component!

It is very lightly carbonated, so it’s not too distracting. Good mouthfeel and the sugar gives it nice body (also probably why the pectin is in there).

I think flavor-wise I actually like this better than Phony Negroni 👀

~$20 with tax for a 4-pack of 8oz cans is a huge bummer, so I won’t be pounding these, but anyways, at least they’re very good! Hoping to try some of their other products soon, the lineup looks quite good.

EDIT: wish I could add another photo to show the nutrition facts & ingredients, but they are as follows:
