I’m about to start with a company as a probationary apprentice. Would it be bad practice to ask the mechanic what he expects out of their apprentice? I’ve seen all the advice people have given about working hard, no phone, stay busy. In the past, I’ve worked with a partner before and sometimes it’s easier to layout those guidelines from the start.
