First seizure in 2 years
Had my first TC in almost 2 years on Tuesday night (June 6th would be 2 years exactly) and it’s making me both scared to leave my house and scared to be alone in my house. It’s taken me two full days to stop feeling confused/like jello. My epileptologist is changing my dose of zonisamide from 500mg to 300mg (couldn’t think or eat on 500, lost 40lbs in 6 months and couldn’t remember anything for longer than 5 seconds my friends and family jokingly called my dory), and adding Briviact 25mg twice a day, but the Briviact is sedating me soooo much and giving me keppra rage. I just don’t know what to do at this point. After my TC, my epileptologist said increase Briviact to 50mg twice a day, but when I told him again how it’s making me feel, he said I could increase the zonisamide back to 400mg instead, but idk if it was the combination of the zonisamide and Briviact or just the Briviact by itself making me feel so terrible. I’m just so sick of this freaking disorder controlling my life and almost costing me jobs because either the seizures or the side effects of meds make it impossible to work even with fmla.
