Reluctant landlord
I have a flat that I am unable to sell due to ridiculous service charges and cladding that needs remediation so I plan to rent it out.
Fortunately I managed to pay the mortgage off so I only need to make enough to cover the costs and routine repairs and maintenance.
Can anyone direct me to an idiots guide for starting this process?
Edit: thanks for comments. To clarify, I will be using an agent to manage the property. I want to make sure I have tax affairs in order. Plan to set up a separate bank account to keep all costs separate to hopefully simplify tax return and minimise the amount I have to pay
