Firefox version: 150.0.2

When I try to copy a saved password in Firefox, a Windows Security prompt appears requesting my Windows login credentials. I've never seen it before today; usually, a prompt appears asking for the master/primary password for Firefox itself.

Under the Privacy and Security tab in Settings, this setting is checked: "Require device sign in to fill and manage passwords." I've never seen/noticed this setting before, and when I try to uncheck the box, the same Windows Security prompt appears.

I can't find anything in the 150.0.2 release notes that would explain this change. Also, I'm newly connected to a public hotel wifi network, which is why this is all especially alarming to me.
