Looking for sleep earbuds. Any recommendations?

Hey everyone,

I’m trying to find a good pair of earbuds specifically for sleeping and figured I’d ask here before buying anything.

A few things I care about:

  • I sleep on my side most of the time, so comfort is easily the biggest thing for me. If they start hurting once my ear is against the pillow, I know I’ll end up taking them out
  • battery needs to last through the night without me having to think about it
  • I’d like the app to have a decent selection of sleep sounds built in. I’m honestly pretty lazy with this kind of thing and don’t want to spend ages every night deciding what to put on
  • some kind of ANC or decent noise blocking would be nice, although I’d still pick comfort over stronger ANC
  • I’m also a really light sleeper and random noises can wake me up pretty easily. Ideally I want something that can keep playing white noise or other built-in sounds after I fall asleep, rather than stopping everything once it detects I’m asleep
  • sleep detection would be a plus, or at least some kind of proper sleep mode/timer
  • I still want regular Bluetooth streaming as an option too. I don’t want to be stuck with only whatever sounds come with the app
  • needs to be easy to buy in Australia
  • I don’t really have a strict budget. I’d rather spend more on something I can actually sleep in every night

So far I’ve been looking at the Ozlo Sleepbuds 2, Soundcore Sleep A30 and SomniPods 3. Reviews are useful for comparing features, but comfort seems way harder to judge, especially when you’re actually lying on your side with them in for the whole night.

For anyone who regularly sleeps with earbuds in, what are you using? Anything you’d recommend or avoid?

Thanks ☺️
