Used Princeton Tweeds, $800 ?

I've recently seen 2 Princeton RI's Tweed in perfect condition on my local but broad area Facebook marketplace. One was $800 the other was $875. I'm sure they're different sellers. Is the resale of the tweeds less than the black tolex reissues? I can't say I've ever seen any Princeton's that cheap. To me the tweeds look way better. I missed out on the $800 one a couple months ago but the latest one at $875 seems like a great deal but almost too good to be true. What gives?

Fundamental amp with pedal question

I found a cheap Fender Champion 600 on facebook marketplace. Replaced the grill cloth, speaker, and tubes. I sounds pretty dull on it's own so I tried my Joyo American Sound into the front end of the amp and it sounds pretty good. What is actually happening when I use a pedal like this? Am I hearing just a different EQ balance? Am I hearing the pedal, or am I hearing the amp? I guess it's probably a combination of both, but does the pedal take away all the organic characteristics of the tube amp? Would i get the identical sound if I just plugged the pedal into a powered speaker?

I play through a 15w Monoprice Stage Right. Mostly at the 1w setting in a home/bedroom setting. The distortion I get with this amp is fizzy, like when you let a chord or note sustain or ring out, on the tail end it sounds like black and white static on a TV. I have not played a lot of tube amps in person due to lack of available stores in my area. Even the times I have played amps in stores, it's hard to get a good judgement on sound out of your home playing context. I've noticed my spark 40 through headphones does not make this fizzy sound. My question is is the fizz just due to the nature of tube amps and do i just need to turn it up to get clean sounding distortion/gain. Or is it just the cheap low quality tube amp (Monoprice) that is causing this fizz. Will a better amp have cleaner sounding grit at a bedroom level? Or is the fizz inherent to low volume. Thanks in advance.
