Just got my new Ryzen 7 9800X3D and noticed this small hard transparent blob/drop on the edge of the CPU substrate (photo attached).

It feels completely solid and can’t be removed with a fingernail. The CPU is brand new and everything else looks fine.

Does anyone know what this might be? Factory resin/glue maybe?

And most importantly — is it safe to install and use like this?
