Hey everybody, I don’t often participate in this subreddit (mainly just upvoting everybody’s pups) but I thought I’d just leave a little photo dump of our first cavalier here to help me process through it.

Gracie would’ve been 10 in December, and this somewhat sudden loss has scrambled my family since Tuesday. She had been struggling with heart failure, as lots of cavaliers do, and we had taken her to the vet to help her out. Unfortunately, she was taken to the ER and gone into respiratory arrest when her poor heart couldn’t handle it. We had the option to put her through CPR but decided against it because we know how hard she was already struggling.

Overall, I just wish we had gotten to see her in her final moments but I’m grateful she’s at peace now and pain free. Additionally, the fact that we have both her daughters here as well, has helped tremendously at least.

Thanks everybody, hug ur pups today for me, and to those who have lost one as well, I bet they’re all able to sleep and play together up there while they wait for the rest of us :’)

I like to keep track of all the abandoned cars I pass by on a regular basis, and this one’s been here a couple years so I figured I’d finally try and figure out which it is
