Just managed to pick up a Furch Limited Edition 2024 Dc-LR, and man, I’m incredibly happy with how it turned out.

For a bit of background, I started out on a Fender CD-60SCE All-Mahogany. Honestly, I thought that was a pretty solid, dependable couch guitar for the price (especially cause I got it new for a great price on FB Marketplace). From there, I moved up to a 2023 Taylor 314ce with V-Class bracing. The Taylor was obviously a major step up in sound, quality, and playability, but over time, I realized the mid-forward punch just wasn't clicking with me. I don't know if it was the Grand Auditorium shape, the Sapele back/sides, or just the V-class bracing, but it felt a tad overwhelming at higher frequencies.

This Furch completely fixed that for me. It’s an Alpine Spruce top with Indian Rosewood back and sides, and that combo is exactly what I was missing. It has this beautiful, naturally scooped sound profile. The lows are deep and the highs are crisp, but that slight dip in the midrange creates the perfect pocket for my voice. It’s so much easier to sing over without feeling like I'm fighting the guitar's frequencies.

The craftsmanship is amazing too—highly recommend checking Furch out if you ever see one in a local shop.

If nothing else, owning an instrument this good is a massive motivator. I'm just inspired to sit down and actually practice every day now. If I play a bad note, I definitely can't blame it on the gear anymore.

Any other Furch players out there? What strings are you running on yours?
