Breaking From Frame. Gush post at 50%. No spoilers please

Gush post.

I've just got to 50% mark ( after the moon landing chapter) and shivering at the writing and the storyline.

Claire's arc and how she drawn to Jacqueline while dealing with Pete, Marta and the prevailing attitudes in a small town in that era is masterfully written.

I'm dual listening to Krystal Hammond narration (A+++) as well as reading the book.

I'm a little afraid and hopeful for the next 1/2 of the book. 🤞

I think this one is going to be a special book.

Just wanted to share.

No spoilers please.

Rec FMC1 disguised as a male attracts FMC2 / ie similar to Backwards to Oregon

I completed Backwards to Oregon about 7 novels ago and the premise is still in my mind.

I'm looking for FMC1 is disguised as a male ( due to needing a job or livelihood (like Bto or Mulan) ,or hiding from the law etc)

I'm looking for a bit of details into the disguise : bindings, hair cut, shadows on the cheeks, light make-up as moustache, goggles, masks, clothing , heavy shoes or boots to take on a more manly gait etc etc

FMC2 comes into her obit. FMC2 could be straight and the attraction at emotional and care level

is undeniably

even better if FMC2 was not straight and found herself strangely drawn to this 'male'

Any recs out there?
