AC in Apartments

Hi guys,

Looks like I’ll be moving to Cardiff in the next couple of months with the partner and we’re looking for apartments ideally with AC. The summers are getting warmer and warmer and these heatwaves are becoming a bitch to sleep comfortably at night.

I’ve been looking and googling a lot and I like the build to rent places like wood street house and copper works and the likes but none of these advertise as having AC where googling suggests they do.

Does anyone have experience with build to rents that have AC?

I understand this is still uncommon in wales but surely with the recent constant heat waves during the summer people are preparing for a future life where AC will be needed to get through the summer right? Wales has developed my body to barely survive 23/24 not 30’s 🤣

Monitor choice paralysis

Ladies and Gentlemen, I'm calling upon the collective wisdom of this subreddit. Having been a 1080p gamer for like the past 20 years I've finally decided to upgrade to OLED, the only problem is there is so many choices, so many opinions I feel like I have choice paralysis, I just don't know what to pick, partly because I've never owned an OLED so I don't know the nuances between monitors.

I like to play a mixture of all types of games from FPS's to MMO's/RPG's, I don't plan on playing a huge amount of FPS's over 2026 so unless someone can give a good enough reason I don't think I'll be looking at a dual-monitor this year (most likely a next year purchase). I can't say I truly know the difference between a QD-OLED to a WOLED other than supposedly QD's have brighter brightness and blacks look purple under a decent amount of light? so I have no preference when it comes to either of these types of monitors, I just want one that's going to knock my socks off in colour fidelity and smoothness. Ideally 240hz, I've been seeing online?

Got a top of the range PC with a 5090 so fps won't be an issue in games, so send me your recommendations and let me know why, I'm hoping getting information from real people and not just text on a screen or from reviewers I'll be able to find a monitor for me based off real use cases.
