ASD20 School Board Recall Election

Now correct me in the comments if I'm wrong because I'm certainly not an expert but it seems to me that 5 members of the ASD20 school board are eligible for recall..

Colorado recall election law says:

They cant be within the first or last 6 months of their term.

40% of the total votes in the last election would need to be collected in signatures. I believe that would be 42,978 signatures.

Signatures would need to be collected within 60 days.

Brad Miller’s firm took over representation of the district beginning on February 1, 2026. The letter of engagement provides for up to 80 hours per month of legal work at a rate of $18,000 per month (or otherwise billed hourly if a month comes in substantially below 80 hours).

The same Brad Miller that was fired from D49, Woodland Park and Pueblo school districts for costing them way too much money.

District Court Judge William H. Moller awarded parent Erin O’Connell $144,822 in attorney fees and court costs after she successfully proved the Woodland Park School District board violated the state’s open meetings law.

Based on Brad Millers bad advice.

The same Brad Miller whose own playbook was described in Colorado Times Recorder reporting on a secret audio recording from a Freedom Foundation-sponsored Teacher Freedom Summit in Denver.

In that recording, Miller reportedly discussed what incoming conservative school-board majorities should do when they gain power.

Miller reportedly said boards need to “engage a superintendent who is aligned with them.” He also identified other key institutional roles, including the board secretary and communications person, as people inside the system who can undermine the board if they’re not aligned. He described the need to build structure quickly, without looking too dramatic, because unions and critics will frame the changes as disruptive.

“When we grab it, it’s quick."

I think the ASD20 school board owes the taxpayers, parents and employees of this district some answers and transparency.

Why are you paying Brad Miller $18,000 a month for this bullshit?

Why are you giving a 2.5% raise to employees when inflation is 3.8%? How do you expect to retain high quality staff when wages aren't even coming close to keeping up with inflation?

Why did the board unanimously renew Superintendent Jinger Haberers contract 2 months ago to turn around and fire her?

Well we know the answer to that one from Brad Millers playbook, install a superintendent that aligns with the MAGA board.

Cue former board president Aaron Salt.

But the real question is how much is firing Superintendent Haberer going to cost the taxpayers?

Why aren't we using that money on the millions of dollars in maintenance backlog in the district?

The fact that they don't have to answer any of these questions during public comment or any other time is fucking bullshit frankly.

The ASD20 School Board is following Brad Millers playbook so they can push their MAGA/Mom's of Liberty agenda.

How does any of this help educate our kids?

RECALL THE ENTIRE ASD20 SCHOOL BOARD!
