I am dumb & need help; is my local TB taking advantage of me? I redeemed free rewards w/ points I earned, and TB said people are now scamming, so they have to verify my account with corporate
What the fuck does that even mean? I buy from Taco Bell all the time as millions do. The whole point is to buy items and rack up point so you can get free items. Everyone does it, TB actively encourages it.
They said at the store I was just at that if you redeem more than one free item at once so two or more it will be a red flag that people are scamming them.

How is redeeming the points you earned “scamming “?
Isn’t that the whole point? To buy food and redeem points? Which Taco Bell obviously encourages that’s why it exists.

Edit: i’ve heard from several people in DMs that other stores are now doing this too (thank you but please don’t DM instead post on this thread so everyone can see .) That if you order two or more free items that you rightfully earned with your points that you will be flagged by the system, as trying to rip them off or scam them. whatever that means. Maybe it’s just where I live. I don’t know ; someone please explain this to me?
Edit 2: on the off chance Taco Bell corporate read this and I doubt they read every post, but let’s be honest, you’re telling me they never see ANY of the things that their die hard fans have posted all over Reddit and social media ? Of course they do from time to time obviously that would be stupid of them not to check the pulse of the people.
