Living off campus as a sophomore

Since it’s required to live on campus as a freshmen and sophomore, is there any way to live off campus as a sophomore? My parents live more than 50 miles away, I’m not 21/ married, no medical exemption, etc.

I’m a freshmen this year and I won’t be able to afford living on campus for another year. Splitting the cost of an apartment with someone I know would save me thousands, but I don’t know how I can achieve this and get approved.

Housing Assignment

Is it not infuriating to anyone else that the housing assignment isn’t out? We leave for school in about 2 weeks but we don’t even know what room we’re gonna be in.

I don’t know any other student (from other schools) that hasn’t gotten their housing back yet, everyone I know got theirs WEEKS ago. If I’m going to end up in a room I didn’t plan on ending up in, it would be pretty helpful to know AHEAD of time so I can coordinate what I’m going to bring.

Many students like to make plans with their randomized roommate to have matching things in their room or to make sure they aren’t buying duplicates of unnecessary items.

Many parents and family need to plan exactly what day and time they’re going to come and know when they’re going to take off work.

It’s beyond frustrating to not even know what room I’m going to be in yet, let alone what time/ day I need to be there. There’s no reason why it should take this long when housing application was due months ago.

Is anyone else feeling as frustrated as me? I feel like I’m going insane!!!
