Maktrak Security
Hi everyone.
I recently had a rolling packout stolen from my truck bed and I'm taking it as an opportunity to start investing in maktrak, and ditch the rest of my packout setup. Usually I keep my makitas locked up in the knapheide, but occasionally I need to haul some tools I don't use on the daily and I'll toss them in the packout in my service bed.
I saw that the maktrak has a slot for a tracker like an airtag. I use android. Does anyone have experience using something like a moto tag with their maktrak?
Also are there good places on the maktrak to chain it up to secure it? Obviously anyone who really wants it will still be able to steal it, but I'm just trying to deter some opportunity thefts, not keep it chained up out in the open permanently.
I would also take suggestions if anyone has experience putting a cover on their service bed. I haul quite a bit of sheet goods so knapheide's rolling cover wasnt a great option for me.
I'm out in the middle of nowhere, so I have yet to see a maktrak in person.
