Its been three weeks or so, since the bloody diarrhea started. My colonoscopy has been scheduled for june 16. My doctor gave me a weekly dose of metronidazole, cyprofloxacin, and lomotil for now. The thing is I cannot eat anything, even drinking water, i feel like throwing up. I have lost a lot of weight, I feel I am too dehydrated. What do I do ?
I(23M) have been suffering from bloddy diarrhea for two weeks. Its all i have when i am in the washroom along with some clots. I have been to ER two times, CT scan showed some inflammation, WBC count was high and the stool culture was normal, the doctors don't seem to care. I don't have an answer yet, what are the chances that this is colitis, I dont have fever, or amdominal pain. But there's straining when in the washroom, and i have lost 4 kgs in last 2 weeks cause i barely eat anything
Update: new doctor; all test to be redone, suspects UC, booked an appointment with gastroenterologist.
