Mid-Century Modern sewing box
I recently acquired this beautiful Mid-Century Modern sewing box / vanity table. It features distinct geometric angled side panels, a pop-up lid with a bright yellow interior drawer, and a dark A-frame base.
On both sides of the wooden underframe, the letters "JMG" are clearly stamped into the wood (as shown in the close-up photo).
I believe the piece is of German or Scandinavian origin from around the 1960s, but I haven't been able to trace the "JMG" manufacturer stamp in standard directories. Does anyone recognize this maker's mark or know which workshop or designer these initials belong to?
Thank you so much for your help!
