Need a balenciaga expert to understand tags !
Hey guys ! I'm currently doing research to be able to differentiate different version of the heavy metal zip up hoodie.
I know that there was two versions of it, a lighter, less expensive one, and a heavier, more expensive one.
My main guess for the difference between the heavier and lighter version is the distressing on the zip. It seems that some have it and some not. I don't know if this is a good way to differentiate them though.
I would like to be able to id them, and I think the tag could help me ! I've seen a lot of versions so far.
Codes next to the L : 170/92A letter G , 155/80A letter PP , 165/88A letter M , ect.
I would like to know what the XXX/XXA means (in general), along with what the letter (M/G/PP) means. I think the letter would be an indicator of the fit I guess ? Like M = medium G = Grand (large) and P and PP being for petit (small) and petit petit( small small).
This is just a wild guess though. I don't know.
Please tell me !
I also have a hard time understanding the different versions of the tags.
It seems that the Arabic, Chinese, and Japanese text varies from one tag to the other. Sometimes when it is the same piece too. (Second pic has a big loop and first has a small one for reference)
My main concern is the little loop at the end of the last Arabic character . Some tags have a little loop and some a big one. There are also such differences with the Chinese and Japanese languages.
ALSO !
Also, if you know what the main differences between the versions of the heavy metal zip ups are, please tell me.
It is also an item with a lot of non official counterparts . I'm trying to learn how to see which ones are balenciaga and which ones are repped items. I've got the embroidery, but it is hard to know what I should look for other than that and the tag. The mud effect seems to have been pretty well done by non official makers on this one.
I thought about looking at the distressing variation between pieces but I found the distressing patterns are very very different from a piece to another (or maybe I'm wrong).
Thank you for your help ! I'm trying to learn the most I can :)
