Plant cover recommendations to protect against critters
I have a lot going on outside the garden and forgot that last year the critters ripped the unopened blooms off my alliums.
Yesterday I thought, oh no they've already ripped off 2, I need to protect the rest! And then this morning I've got only one left 😭.
They have been doing it to the tulips for so long that I just cut the unopened tulips and put them in a vase now, but I feel like the critters, (it's squirrels or rabbits, not deer just fyi), won't bother the alliums once they bloom, and so I'm looking for recommendations of plants covers that I can use next year (I've put a reminder in my calendar for next April).
I have a bunch of old pop bottles that I use to cover bush bean seedlings and the like, but they are too small for these.
Dollarama to Lee Valley, whatever you have had a good experience with, I would love to hear it.
