I was just thinking lets say arsenal win the champions league as psg and bayern players are currently most likely for the ballon d’or but no arsenal players have hand stand out seasons, if arsenal bottle the prem but win the champions league their players may not have a chance at the ballon d’or as they’ve only won the ucl but if argentina win the world cup and lets say messi performs unreal at the world cup like great goals, important man of the match performances and a world cup final motm performance to win it, do you think this could all of a sudden make him a huge contender for the ballon d’or as he did win 2/3 club competitions this season and performed very well except the fact its a weaker league.
