Hi everyone,
I’m a 31-year-old female, about one year post-op from ACL and meniscus surgery. I’m feeling pretty discouraged because my recovery hasn’t gone the way I expected.
Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been having a lot of jolting sensations and crunching pain in my knee. My physio has suggested I follow up with my surgeon and possibly get more imaging.
At the same time, I had originally hoped to start trying for a family around now, and I’m feeling really conflicted. Part of me wonders if I should wait until my knee feels “fully recovered,” but I also know that trying to conceive can take months to years…or well who knows really… so it’s hard to know what the right timing is.
I’ve been in physio weekly for a year and honestly just feel really drained from the whole process. Some days I even regret going through with the surgery, which I didn’t expect to feel.
Has anyone else been in a similar situation either with recovery not going as planned or trying to balance this with family planning? I’d really appreciate hearing your experiences or any advice.

Hi, are there any ACL who are planning to get pregnant soon or basically in the similar situation? I am in 31-year-old female one year postop not where I am wanted to be in my recovery journey wanting to try to conceive. Try to navigate both the knee and all the pregnancy.
