Need an open-world thief and survival game like Road 96 or Life is Strange 2, but less linear
I recently played Road 96 and absolutely loved the atmosphere of it. The hitchhiking, meeting random people, surviving with barely anything, sneaking around, stealing food or money when necessary, the whole nomad and runaway vibe felt incredibly satisfying.
I’m looking for a game similar to that, but with a much more open world and sandbox-style experience instead of a mostly linear story. Something where you can travel freely to gas stations/motels, survive by any means, trespass, steal, scavenge, hitchhike, break into places, manage money and resources, and really feel like a drifter trying to survive on the road or in a city.
I do not necessarily need the story aspect from Road 96. I’m more interested in the freedom, atmosphere, and survival or crime mechanics.
