Trying to take money out of 401k for repairs to home because of disabilities. I need new steps, walk in shower and new exterior door. Just got told that I am not eligible to take my money out. I can take a loan (which I might not be able to repay) because I am on LOA, also the loan is not enough to do the repairs. Total knee replacement. Then I have to have the other knee done. My options after working for Target 14 years is that I quit and wait 30 days to get my money or wait until I am 70 1/2 years old.
